How do you use
your associates and paralegals to hold down clients' bills and
expand your ability to work on cases?
We work on a
fixed fee basis so each client knows exactly what to expect. There
are no extra charges for postage, documents, phone calls, etc.
This approach keeps cost down in several ways: 1) there is no
built-in monetary incentive to drag out a case & 2) without the
worry about the meter running, clients stay in better communication
with their attorneys, enabling us to get the information we need to
resolve cases. All associates are trained in Collaborative Divorce,
mediation and other alternative forms of dispute resolution which
tend to keep cases out of court, thereby holding costs down and
expanding our ability to work on cases.
What client handouts do you generally hand out to clients that will
help me understand my case?
Each client
receives a client handbook which outlines the whole process of
creating a separation agreement/getting a divorce, along with a
Client Needs Assessment which designates the various tasks that will
be involved in his/her specific case.
